After the hot bikes of European Bike Week leave Lake Faak, you have free riding! Whether you take your motorbike for a pleasure ride on one of the many pass roads in the immediate area or a quiet walk in the silence.

Nearby is one of the most popular hiking trails, the Alpe-Adria-Karawankenweg, which connects Austria and Slovenia.

Anyone thinking of a winter holiday in Carinthia usually thinks of skiing on the Gerlitze, the Nassfeld or Bad Kleinkirchheim, but of course you can do that too, with us, very easily even!

But if you want to experience winter with all its facets individually and far away from the masses, you will love it here.

Our special location in the Alpine-Adriatic region makes a cross-border skiing experience possible. From winter Tarvis to après-ski on the Gerlitze. You can experience mega awesome freeride descents in the Julian Alps, a cosy and not too expensive family ski area, we highly recommend the Dreiländereck (just 20 minutes away).

The super ski courses for children at Dreiländereck are very popular, by the way!

If conditions are optimal, you can skate on the nearby Aichwaldsee, cross-country ski in Oberaichwald or enjoy an impressive panorama during an extended snowshoe hike on the Dobratsch.
